Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal data we collect on this site, why we collect it, who sees it, and what you can do about it.

Coating Engine runs ads, landing pages and follow-up for epoxy and concrete coating contractors. The site and its forms are for business owners.

1. Who is responsible

The company behind Coating Engine is Traffic To Talks v.o.f. (details above). It decides how your data is used, so in this policy "we" means Traffic To Talks v.o.f., acting as Coating Engine.

2. What we collect

When you book a call

Your name, email address, phone number, company, website, city and state, your answers to the booking questions, and the time you pick.

When you ask for the Owner's Manual

Your first name, your email address, and your cell number if you choose to give it.

When you ask for the Competitor X-Ray

Your first name, your email address, your business name, website, city and state, and your cell number if you choose to give it. To build the X-Ray we also look at public information about the business you name, such as its website and its online listings.

When you visit

Our hosting provider sees your IP address and browser details when your browser asks for a page, as any web server does. Analytics tools collect more, but only after you accept cookies (section 6).

Where you came from

The first time you arrive, we save the campaign tags in the link (the utm tags and the ad click ID), the page you landed on and the time. We save the latest visit the same way. This sits in your browser's local storage and reaches us only when you send a form. It tells us which ad or post brought you.

What you tell us

Anything you write in an email or a text, or say on a call.

Your text message consent

If you tick a text message box, we save that you ticked it, the exact wording next to the box, and the date. That record is our proof of consent.

3. Why we use it

• To book and run your call, and to send confirmations and reminders. Basis: you asked for it.
• To send what you asked for: the Owner's Manual, the AI Playbook or your Competitor X-Ray. Basis: you asked for it.
• To follow up by email and, if you ticked the box, by text, about our service. Basis: your consent for texts; our legitimate interest in talking to business owners by email, where the law allows it.
• To see which ads and pages work. Basis: your consent to cookies.
• To keep our systems safe and stop abuse. Basis: our legitimate interest.
• To meet legal duties, such as keeping accounts. Basis: legal obligation.

4. Email

Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link at the bottom and our postal address. Use the link and we stop. You do not have to accept marketing emails to book a call.

5. Text messages (SMS)

We text you only if you tick the text message box on one of our forms. The box is never ticked for you and never required.

Your mobile number stays with us

We do not share or sell your mobile number or SMS consent with third parties or affiliates for their marketing purposes.

Mobile opt-in data is not shared with third parties. The providers that deliver our texts work for us, under our instructions, and may use your number only to send those messages.

6. Cookies and analytics

Nothing loads until you say yes. With your OK we use two tools:

• Google Analytics 4, to see which pages and campaigns bring in calls,
• the Meta pixel, to measure and improve our ads on Facebook and Instagram.

We may load them through Google Tag Manager. If you decline, none of them load.

You can change your choice at any time with "Cookie settings" at the bottom of the page, or by clearing this site's data in your browser. We keep your choice in your browser's local storage so we do not ask on every page.

Google and Meta receive data such as your IP address and the pages you view. Their own privacy policies cover what they do with it.

When you book a call, your browser also keeps the booking details until you close the tab, so the confirmation page can show them to you.

7. Who we share data with

We do not sell personal data.

We share it only with companies that help us run Coating Engine, and only as far as the job needs:

• our CRM and email/SMS provider, which stores contacts and sends our messages,
• hosting,
• analytics and advertising platforms, if you accepted cookies,
• accounting and payment services, for clients,
• authorities, when the law requires it.

Under some US state laws, advertising cookies count as "sharing" or "targeted advertising". If you decline cookies, that does not happen. You can also tell us to stop at contact@coatingengine.com.

8. Data moving between countries

We are in the Netherlands. Our providers may store or process data in the European Union, the United States or elsewhere. When data leaves the EU, we rely on the safeguards the law requires, such as standard contractual clauses.

9. How long we keep it

• Leads: as long as follow-up makes sense, or until you ask us to stop.
• Clients: for the length of the work and a reasonable time after.
• Accounts and tax records: as long as the law requires. In the Netherlands that is up to seven years.
• Text consent records: after you opt out we keep them for as long as we may need to prove your consent.

10. Security

We use technical and organizational measures to protect your data against loss, misuse and unauthorized access. No system is perfect, but we treat your data with care.

11. Your rights

If you live in the EU, the UK or a US state with a privacy law (such as California, Colorado, Texas or Virginia), you can:

• ask what data we hold about you and get a copy,
• have wrong data corrected,
• have your data deleted,
• object to or limit how we use it,
• withdraw your consent at any time,
• opt out of targeted advertising and sharing,
• get your data in a portable format.

Email contact@coatingengine.com. We may need to check that the request is yours. We reply within 30 days, and we do not treat you worse for using your rights.

If you think we handled your data wrongly, you can complain to the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens). In the US you can also contact your state attorney general.

12. Age

Coating Engine is for business owners. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you think we have, email us and we delete it.

13. Links to other sites

The site may link to other websites. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices.

14. Changes

We update this page when something changes. The date at the top shows the latest version.
